As Spring begins to awaken and we start to shake off that winter chill, I'm reminded of this gorgeous shoot featuring our Cora gown photographed by the talented Nicole Colwell Photography at the Ivy Rose Barn. This team of creatives produced a fresh and vintage inspired shoot leaving romantics like me longing for newly sprouted florals and French doors leading me out to the garden to write poetry...hey, I said I was a romantic!
The Cora gown has been a long-time favorite among my brides. Made of shimmering champagne embroidery with wandering floral motifs and gentle vines, this gown is finished with an elaborate scalloped edge. Made for my romantic brides who love a vintage flare, it's a timeless classic. Layered over platinum silk Charmeuse, this wedding dress has a luxurious vibe, while also feeling so comfortable and light - the best of both worlds! With a sheer back and scalloped V neckline, you'll feel like a modern bride with just a hint of old world opulence.
The light and airy Ivory Rose Barn provides the perfect canvas for those creative couples who have a clear vision for their wedding. Dress it with lush white roses and ivy like Selah Ray Florals did, or choose from the unlimited color possibilities; in any case, a clean, wedding venue like this makes the perfect canvas for whatever your vision may be! And oh how I love the forest peeking through the windows...again we see how nature provides us with the best backdrop.
There's a little bit of everything in this story - modern, vintage, romantic, and done in such a thoughtful way. The long tables adorned in black and blue with gold accents and lush florals goes to show that a simple palette can be just as effective as a design with multiple colors and textures. Classic can be anything but boring, and vintage inspired can still feel modern. Whatever your vision may be, as long as it's guided by who the two of you are as a couple, you can't go wrong. The poetry of your love story is forever, and that's all that matters in the end. Happy Spring, and happy planning!
