Starting the day with a first look with her adoring groom, and some light hearted moments with the pooch, our bride was a vision of beauty as she donned the Ophelia wedding dress. Strewn with pastel chiffon flowers in shades of light blue, pale green and lavender embroidery, the gown is layered over gold lace and chiffon with a strapless sweetheart bodice and cathedral lace-edged train. To add another element of drama, I designed flowing long sleeves made of French glittering tulle and adorned them with beaded flowers. Her hydrangea floral hairpiece from Twigs & Honey could not be a more perfect accessory for her pretty locks!
Donning her custom Enchanted Rose veil, Shannon was escorted down the aisle by her mother and father. This embroidered tulle veil was originally designed as a cape, but is equally stunning as a veil. We added the blusher for Shannon's entrance, and all those silk roses and petals trailing behind her really does make for a breathtaking moment. Shannon has such a close relationship with her mom, and wanted her to feel beautiful on this special day as well. As the bride walked down the aisle, all eyes were on her, but our mother of the bride also made a grand entrance wearing the "Pearle" gown. We lined mom's beaded floor length long sleeved lace dress in dusty rose silk. Mother and daughter (and dad!) looked like they stepped out of a storybook - what a beautiful family moment as our bride joins her groom.
Vows are made, promises pledged, and now the new husband and wife can let it all sink in! Every detail was perfectly planned and executed by Sarah Blessinger of Kindred Wedding Events. The ceremony took place in the enchanting Birchwood Room at Calamigos Ranch, a classic outdoor California wedding venue that provided the perfect backdrop for the fairy tale nuptials - and they have a carousel too! The bride had two exquisite floral bouquets arranged by Dogwood Florals for her portraits - one light and pastel, one dark and moody. I can't decide which I love more! The stunning floral arrangements just added to the whimsical and romantic atmosphere of the day. And these two, so clearly in love, were captured by the talented Chris Ellis Photography, who documented the magic and romance of the day in stunning images that the couple will treasure forever.
On to that carousel, on to dinner and dancing with mom, with dad, with her new husband...bustling that veil (yes, we did!) for yet another fairy queen look for our bride. All of it was truly out of a story book, and we couldn't be happier for Shannon and her family. The wedding was truly magical, and it's clear that this love story is just beginning...here's to happily ever after.
