What happens when someone in the bridal industry gets married? Of course, the most beautiful elements, and most talented vendors come together, ESPECIALLY when the bride herself is a florist! We loved living through the dreamy wedding of Nikki and Timothy, and seeing how Nikki, owner of
Thorn Floral Studio, brought her vision to life, will surely inspire flower-loving brides-to-be for years to come.
Nikki wore none other than our flower adorned and long-time love
Primavera, customized with even more floral adornment, because, did I mention she's a florist?! She even sprinkled in real hydrangea blossoms onto her veil. This gown's bodice is made of sage leaves and vines and light pink peonies while the sleeves and tulle overskirt are also adorned with finely embroidered ecru flowers of all shapes and sizes. Lined in blush silk charmeuse, this gown was inspired by the goddess of springtime herself, and definitely a perfect choice for our bride. And the pup seems to think so too!
These two cuties couldn't have had a sweeter first look! This is why first look photos are some of my favorites. You really see the pure love between the couple, and its nice to have a calm moment for just the two of you before the whirlwind that is a wedding day! Soak in this moment, dear brides, it goes by in a flash!
If designing the florals wasn't enough, Nikki and her husband also renovated their home and barn on the property to host their very own wedding and future weddings, which they named The Sterling at Chappell Hill! The perfect setting for this whimsical, nature inspired celebration. This creative duo were clearly meant to be, and this gorgeous wedding is just a glimpse of the many adventures they'll have throughout their lives together.
With touches of sunset orange hues, vibrant pinks, and of course fresh greenery, this wedding was filled with cheery florals that truly set the tone for his couple's wedding day. With epic blooms like these, adding them to as many elements as possible is a must... even the pups and pony got floral collars! I also especially love the floral details on the cake by
Becca Cakes; they're a perfect contrast against the ivory frosting. Throw in a camper serving up delicious cocktails by
Traveling Spirit Bar, and we are set for a fantastic celebration!
Nikki and Timothy made their wedding completely their own, and went above and beyond to do so! They stayed true to who they are as a couple, and individually, and I think that's just beautiful. Congrats, you two!
