Adorned with Flowers - Erin Rhyne for Claire Pettibone

Looking back over years of creating countless wedding dresses, one prevailing element in every collection I've ever designed, is flowers. A motif in lace, an intricate embroidery, or a 3-D applique, I think it would be impossible to find a gown in my collection without a blossom of some sort. And so of course I am a fan of the exquisite bridal accessories by Erin Rhyne. Leading up to my latest collection, we decided to collaborate on some hair vines and combs to pair with not only the new dresses, but also some of our bride's favorite styles. Each flower is hand-sculpted and hand-painted by Erin herself, and working together on these six exclusive pieces was a true joy. Our aesthetics are so perfectly aligned, these floral works of art were just meant to be!
A symbol of true love, the Forget-Me-Not Vine is made of delicately sculpted blue and lavender tinged blossoms with soft green leaves with gilded gold edges. This piece was inspired by my Ophelia gown. Pastel hued chiffon petals of pale blue and lavendar layered over gold lace, this strapless A-line dress is a garden wedding dream come true! But as you can see, this graceful hair vine also pairs beautifully with our new Adorned Collection, and almost any of our gowns! One of my favorite hair pieces for one of my favorite gowns! The Primavera Vine was inspired by our namesake dress, and of course, the Goddess of Spring. Erin hand sculpts these petal pink blossoms with a few golden blackberries nestled amongst sage green leaves. Our brides will have flowers blooming in their tresses all day (no wilting or discoloring) and a treasured heirloom to wear again and keep forever.
Something blue? It took months to develop this particular shade of blue silk, and it's become one of our bride's favorites. Seen here lining the pretty lace of our Eloise gown from the Timeless Collection, we just had to have a hair vine to compliment our brides in blue - or for those who just want a touch of this pretty shade in their hair. Pearlescent wildflowers with hand painted petals and tiny pearl centers...introducing the Azure Wildflower Vine And for that perfect luminescent floral fantasy, the Stardust Vine and Comb are painted in hues of silver, antique gold and champagne with pearl centers. The airy vine is perfect for weaving through tousled tresses, and the comb makes a gorgeous accompaniment to the always popular "half-up half-down" do, or a side swept chignon. And for those romantics at heart, the Cherry Blossom Comb has the prettiest in pink centers with iridescent ivory petals and genuine freshwater pearls. Each piece is made by hand, sculpted from clay in Erin's studio. A true artist, it's been an absolute joy collaborating with Erin, and we're so excited for our brides to enjoy her work.
