2020 will be remembered for a lot of reasons, but one of the good things in my view, will be micro weddings. When styled by Matthew Bean Events in the beautiful wide open space of nature, with a gorgeous couple in love, weddings like this have been a bright spot in my days this year for sure! 
Let's start with our Dawn gown from the Evolution Collection, and the groom's beautiful mauve suit. Once a couple's attire is selected, it can serve as inspiration for other details in the wedding...from this stunning cake by Trouvaille Bakery, to lush florals from Kae Floral Co. I'm loving this unexpected combination of mauve, sage and wheat...modern, romantic and effortlessly stylish!
The juxtaposition of modern chic with rustic elements, is so fresh, and works beautifully as a way to compliment both aesthetics. All of the details along with the stunning couple are captured by Alicia Rinka, just featured by Brides Magazine as one of the best wedding photographers in America...congrats Alicia! 
Just like all of my fellow wedding creatives, and I'm sure many of our brides-to-be, I'm longing to get back to "normal" weddings, but I've also never been one for rules, and I think the challenges of this year have taught us that sometimes the simple can be just as meaningful and truly just as beautiful as the extravagant. 
No matter what your wedding plans include, it doesn't hurt to remember that the love between two people is by far the most important ingredient. Here's to all of my resilient, creative, thoughtful and beautiful 2020 brides! I'm so grateful to have been a part of your unique and love-filled weddings...and I'm hopeful for the good that 2021 will bring to us all.
