Our bride wore Venus, and yes, she's every bit the goddess in this floral dream of a dress. Bontanica was the perfect setting for this outdoor wedding planned by Jillian Nicole Events, and Everyday Forever captured the moments and all of the love beautifully. The Venus gown, sprinkled with hand beaded chiffon pastel flowers and lavender embroidery, is right at home in a garden setting, and our bride is the centerpiece of this floral fantasy. Our bride had a first look with her bridal party, and one of my favorites, a first look with dad. Could he be any prouder of his beautiful daughter? And her lovely mamma came with our bride to her fittings at The Castle, and was always so excited and happy for her daughter as well...what a sweet family! Seeing these photos is like being right there with them experiencing the day.
And now, on to the first look and couple's portraits with her love. It's so nice to see this bride take this time with her partner before the celebrations begin. Reading private vows, stealing a few kisses, and helping each other prepare for the event ahead. When they look back on the day, these moments will be some of their most cherished, and I say, let's get some of these beauties framed ASAP! Sam wore the Venus gown, and I think we can all agree, she looked like an absolute goddess! When she first visited us here in Los Angeles, Samantha brought her mom and aunties to help her find her dress. She definitely wanted some touches of color and appreciated details. Well, she found it all in the this stunner! Scattered with colorful flowers in shades of blue, green, yellow and violet, each blossom is hand beaded. Layer in some French tulle scattered with just a hint of gold shimmer, some very dramatic long sleeves, an open back and an epic cathedral length train edged in lace vines...it was all the "wow" she wanted, and yet didn't overwhelm her petite frame.
Walking down the aisle with mom and dad, and on to this flower strewn ceremony under the trees. I just love a natural setting! And I'll say it again, don't worry about your train getting dirty outside! If it did, we can't tell at all, and with photos like this, who even cares?!
Before the sun sets, just a few more moments together. And by the way, Sam chose one of my personal favorite hair vines from Twigs & Honey. Antique porcelain flowers, patina leaves, and delicate crystal vines to wrap around and cascade through her hair; the perfect finishing touch for this look. At the last minute, she decided on a simple tulle veil. We made this one with our antique colored tulle so that it would compliment the colors of her gown...and make for a few more romantic moments with these two. Time for the party to begin! Let's bustle that long train up, and get on the dance floor! Just a few secret hooks hidden beneath the flowers, and our bride is ready to go. Looks like everyone had a great time dancing the night away! Truly a wedding in paradise. Congratulations to the two of you, and to all your friends and family who were there to celebrate with you. I'm sure this day will be a cherished memory for many years to come. It was an absolute joy to create your wedding dress and to be a small part of it all...thank you for being a Claire Pettibone bride!
