Santorini in La Quinta

Santorini in La Quinta

After rescheduling FOUR times because of Covid, our lovely bride Lindsey and husband were finally married on May 1st, 2021. As Lindsey shared "it was not what we originally planned but it was perfect. I got to wear the most amazing dress (Santorini with a custom neckline), and I can't thank you enough. I felt incredible in the dress and everyone absolutely loved it (especially my husband)." And isn't that just the lesson we've all learned this year? Sometimes you have to pivot... and sometimes things can end up being just (or even more!) perfect than you had always imagined. This gave photographer Yaron Eini ample time to capture just the two of them without any pressure to hurry to their guests. Such a great idea, which could be done either a day before or after the wedding. Under the fluffy, sunlit palms, these two were finally able to take it all in and experience the day they planned (and re-planned) for so long. I can only imagine the relief, love and happiness they felt in this moment! Adorned with fluttering organza flowers and delicate hand beading, accented with a stunning Guipure lace belt that leads to a sumptuous flowing silk skirt, this gown is both elaborate and effortless. To make the dress perfect for Lindsey, we modified the neckline by raising it from the original v-neck, and sprinkling a few more of those pretty blossoms along the bodice. You can't help but smile at the joy these two exude. Surrounded by friends and family...the day finally came! I'm sure there were times where this couple wanted to give up, elope and call it a day. But I'm so happy they decided to stick it out and move forward with this beautiful ceremony. And by the looks of it, they are too! It's tempting to move on with life and maybe even feel like a celebration is frivolous, but remember why you decided to have a wedding in the first place. This is the one day for you and your partner to completely soak in all the love from each other and your loved ones. It really is ok to celebrate, to be joyful, and to share your love and gratitude for all that you mean to each other. Life moves fast, but these moments are worth taking the time and patience to make happen. I promise!

What a beautiful commentary, Claire, on my daughter’s breathtaking wedding. And it started with our meeting with you in your gorgeous studio. I have the sweet video of Linds deciding on the Santorini-and you saying “Mom! She made the decision!” So happy she was a Claire Pettibone Bride.
