In your mind, who is the “Claire Pettibone Bride”?
I have a huge bulletin board in my atelier filled with photos and notes from my real brides. Everyone who comes into our salon takes a look, and I often hear how amazing the variety is. From all shapes and sizes, to styles and venues, there really is not a single ‘type’. When I design a collection, each season I have a theme, or mood in mind, and from there my muse takes on many forms. One thing my brides have in common is they want a dress that is unique. They don’t want the boring or ‘safe’ dress, they want something feminine, magical and unforgettable that really expresses their own unique style.
