Who says you can't wear a pink and red floral gown for a wedding in the big city? Definitely not me! Maybe because I grew up with fields of wildflowers and forests juxtaposed with vibrant city life, I can relate to this inspiration captured by Amy Mulder Photography
. Our gorgeous new Flora gown set amongst a backdrop of towering sky scrapers, stone pillars, and the architectural beauty of New York City and Central Park creates a mesmerizing contrast for the bride with a romantic heart and a love for the concrete jungle.
Adorned in our exquisite Flora wedding dress, our bride is a vision of feminine beauty and organic nature in a setting filled with hard lines, grey tones, and structured elements...we love a contrast! Our Flora gown
is made with light pink silk charmeuse (yes, that's pink underneath!) and red and pink embroidered flowers climbing and blooming along green vines to create this couture canvas. With a Guipure lace and iridescent ribbon embellished train, this gown was meant for a dramatic walk up a staircase and waltzing through tall iron doors.
The groom looks especially dashing in his Velvet suit jacket from Paisley & Gray
, coordinating perfectly with our garden queen. Remember, the photos of just the two of you are some that you'll especially cherish...so don't forget to take the time for those shots! Let your train get a little dirty (it's on the underside, no one will see it!), be dramatic and bold with your poses, and of course don't be afraid of those intimate moments. Expressing your love for each other is what it's all about. You may face challenges one day (who doesn't ?) and looking back at your new-in-love-selves will remind you of this day that you vowed to love each other through it all.
With NYC as their backdrop, and nature sneaking into the scenes, this team truly provides us with some gorgeous inspiration. Brides, don't be afraid of anything on your wedding day; whether that's a little color in your gown, climbing on boulders to get the shot, or simply expressing your love, for all of your guests (and especially your partner) to hear. It's all beautiful, and it's all worth it!
