Where does your inspiration come from? How do you keep designing new dresses year after year? What are the latest bridal trends? These are some of the most common questions I'm asked about designing wedding dresses. The answers in a nutshell: 1. Nature, Art, the feminine icon is my muse. 2. Designing wedding dresses never gets old for me - I truly love what I do. 3. I don't believe in trends for wedding dresses - stay true to who you are always. When creating a new collection, it always starts with a mood, a point of inspiration...something that I want to express to tell a story for my brides. From there, I often research elements of that theme and begin to gather potential names for the dresses, and then I begin to design the fabrics. I work with the world's finest couture embroidery and lace houses to produce my textiles, and once those arrive, I begin to sketch and create the dresses. April Bridal Market Week is upon us, so here's a little peek at what I've been working on. A hint of sparkle, some delicate beading, aqua blue embroidery and a hint of iridescence. What does it mean to be Adorned? Draped in elaborate fabrics, embellished with beading and jewels, and always adorned with an inner beauty, that the gown only brings to light. My team and I are busy working on the finishing touches, and then these gowns are off to be photographed. Stay tuned for the full release in the next few weeks of the Adorned Collection.
