Remember summer travel? A chance to explore and take a break from "real life" to enjoy another culture, have a glass of wine with lunch, maybe even elope?! I often say I wish that I lived the life of my dresses! They're always off globetrotting, visiting dream destinations, and living their best life surrounded by beauty. Read on to see just a hint of this stunning shoot planned by White Sage Events, photographed by David Abel on a recent trip to Italy, and maybe find some inspiration for your own elopement or destination wedding...and take me with you!
Our Soleil gown is right at home in this gorgeous golden light amidst the ancient pillars and stone steps of Italy. A literal goddess if you ask me! Shimmering French embroidery, this tulle soft A-line wedding dress brings attention to the décolleté and pretty shoulders with Guipure lace vines and hand beaded flowers trailing along the neckline. A little glitter dusted tulle for some light as air flutter sleeves, and a low sheer back, all in the most beautiful shades of pale gold and champagne. A lush bouquet by Barefoot Floral featuring muted shades of ivory, blush and rustic tones to mirror the architecture surrounding our bride is almost all the adornment needed for the space. Yet another bonus of an elopement or wedding in a beautiful destination, is sometimes very little decoration is needed. Just you, your beautiful dress and a pretty bouquet makes all the statement needed.
Paired with our gold and ivory lace trimmed Eloquence veil, some statement earrings and a goddess-worthy gold floral crown by Eden Luxe Bridal, this bride is both timeless and modern. And as you can see when she wears the veil, and when it comes off, she has two very different looks - another reason why I always recommend a veil and accessories for our brides, is not only for the "wow" factor in person, but also for the gorgeous variety of photos you'll have to look back on.
When you plan an elopement or a destination wedding, choosing a place as timeless and breathtaking as this, means the focus will really be on just the two of you. So whether you invite a crowd of 250 of your nearest and dearest to join you, or it's just the two of you, an officiant and a photographer, the occasion of you both reciting your vows, professing your love, and celebrating your bond together is ultimately what is at the center of every wedding, so do what feels right for you. Enjoy the choices you make together...it's good practice for your marriage! And soak up all the golden light and romantic strolls together that you can. These memories will last a lifetime.
