Emily Wedding Dress with Poem Veil Pure Poetry Wedding Dress Collection

Pure Poetry

A Collection from the Heart

There are moments in life when beauty feels like a necessity. With so much chaos in the world, I find myself longing for something pure. A whisper of lace, the flutter of silk ribbons, or the drape of a handcrafted wedding dress can speak directly to the soul. The Pure Poetry collection was born from this desire for simplicity and beauty.
Each collection becomes a paragraph in the ongoing story of my work, and this season I felt called to create in all white. I know… white for a wedding dress, how revolutionary! But for someone who loves color as much as I do, it surprised me to be drawn so strongly to the clarity and stillness of pure white.
From the quiet hours in the atelier to the breathtaking reveal on a wedding morning, these gowns are more than fabric and thread. They hold emotion. They carry memory. They reflect the story of love told in its most romantic language.

The Language of Emotion — Why a Wedding Dress Matters

A wedding gown holds a particular kind of meaning unlike any other piece of clothing. It carries the hope of a life beginning, the symbolism of the bride herself, and all the complex emotions that we women hold so deeply. When a bride steps into her dress, it is often the moment when everything becomes real. Something softens. Something shifts. The true meaning of this milestone settles into her heart.
In designing Pure Poetry, I wanted each gown to evoke something meaningful. The quiet nostalgia of who you have been, and the gentle recognition of who you have become. The intimate knowing that beauty can hold emotion in a way that words sometimes cannot. Through texture, movement, and gentle details, these gowns welcome a bride’s deepest feelings and allow them to be beautifully seen.

Triolet — An Heirloom Refrain

Like the poem that inspired its name, Triolet carries a repeating refrain of beauty revealed through lace, embroidery, and sculptural detail. The gown’s Art Deco-inspired design features a fitted, structured silhouette with organza insets and embroidered motifs that create a sense of timeless elegance. This architectural bodice flows into a dramatic skirt edged with scalloped embroidery and Guipure lace fringe that flutters with every step. The versatile straps can be worn on the shoulder or gently slipped off to create an utterly romantic look. This small change allows a bride to choose her own expression, shifting effortlessly from classic elegance to historic heroine.
There is a power in this wedding dress that is both emotional and visual. The way it moves. The way the embroidery captures the light. The way its details feel vintage yet unmistakably modern. Triolet is for the bride who embraces beauty with intention, who values artistry, and who understands that elegance can be both bold and deeply poetic.

A Heartfelt Touch of Guipure Lace

Guipure lace trim is one of Triolet’s most meaningful details and one of my favorite laces to work with. Originating in 16th-century Europe, Guipure is known for its ornamental motifs held together by openwork threads rather than background netting, giving it a beautifully bold and sculptural quality. Tiny heart motifs are woven into this particular design, creating a subtle symbol of love that edges the gown. From each heart, lace fringe dangles softly, adding movement and an unforgettable touch of romance. Paired with our Kristene veil, also trimmed in Guipure lace, this is a stunning wedding ensemble.

Gwendolyn — A Heroine's Heart

A gown that feels like a soft breath of poetry, a gentle whisper that lingers long after words are spoken. Crafted in ornate embroidery layered over luminous silk, this soft silhouette drapes the body with effortless grace before falling into a romantic train finished with an intricate scalloped hem. The plunging neckline and low back offer a subtle touch of modern femininity, while the silk ribbons flutter with each step like a dream first dance.
And although these gowns are white, it's never stark or harsh. We call this shade “silk white” or “pearl,” a soft luminous tone. There are so many variations of white, as anyone who has ever chosen paint knows, and with my love of all things vintage, I prefer whites that are not quite ivory but hold a gentle, glowing warmth.
There is a quiet magic in this gown, something soulful and tender that speaks to the heart. Gwendolyn is for the bride who feels deeply yet expresses her beauty with softness. She moves with intention, carries herself with ease, and embodies a love story that unfolds gently and authentically. She is poetry brought to life, a reminder that femininity is powerful and enduring.

Craftsmanship as Devotion — The Atelier's Quiet Magic

Behind every gown and veil is a sense of devotion. In our Los Angeles atelier, beauty is created slowly and intentionally by skilled artisans who have been with me for years. They have honed their craft stitch by stitch, season after season, and there is a depth of experience in their hands that cannot be rushed or replicated. We work the old-world way because we believe the art deserves it. No shortcuts. No compromises. Just the quiet discipline of people who love what they do, and I am so grateful for our small but mighty team!

The Poetry in Every Stitch

Every appliqué is placed with care. Every piece of lace is considered. There is a meditative rhythm to this work, a stillness that feels increasingly rare in this world. As each gown or veil takes shape, it becomes more than a garment. It becomes a vessel for emotion long before it ever reaches the bride. It carries the intention of every person who touched it, the history of the materials, and the poetry woven into the design. The Poem Veil is all of that... inlaid pieces of lace, hand-cut, hand-placed, and carefully stitched on delicate tulle. An epic adornment for our brides.

Emily — A Sonnet in Lace

Emily carries a quiet power, the kind that reveals itself slowly. The gown begins with a sheer corset bodice that shows the artistry beneath, a balance of transparency and structure that feels both modern and timeless. Scrollwork lace traces the lines of the body, creating a refined silhouette that flows into a soft, flared skirt.
Along the waist and drifting down the skirt and train, floral lace appliqués bloom gently, creating a garden of texture that feels organic and intentional. These blossoms add depth to the slightly sheer chiffon beneath, and give the gown a sense of movement even when the bride is standing still. Emily is a sonnet written in lace, ready to be recited by the woman who wears her.

Beauty as Hope — Why We Create

In uncertain times, beauty becomes more than ornament. It becomes refuge. It reminds us of what is good, enduring, and worth celebrating. Weddings are among the purest expressions of this hope. They gather love, family, and joy into a single moment. Pure Poetry was created with this spirit in mind. It is a collection that honors the softness of being human and offers beauty as an answer.

The Bride Writes the Final Line

In the end, every gown is a beginning.
I may design the opening lines, the lace, the silhouette, the emotions held within each detail. Yet the bride writes the final stanza. Her story, her heart, and her moments complete the poem.
When we create, we are not simply making dresses. We are crafting memories and future heirlooms. We are creating something a bride will not just wear, but embody on one of the most meaningful days of her life. And that responsibility is something we hold with both pride and tenderness.
Pure Poetry is an invitation to feel deeply, to embrace beauty, and to let your wedding gown become part of your story. One exquisite, meaningful detail at a time.
