Mother nature is the greatest backdrop artist ever, and the gorgeous 100-acre Kestrel Park, encompassing a 19th century style English country cottage, garden and stables are the perfect showcase for a romantic wedding captured beautifully by Jennifer Fujikawa Photography. The contrast of our vintage inspired ivory Sauvignon wedding dress set against lush florals provided by Mulberry and Moss (and of course the Earth herself!) make the perfect balance and blend of colors. Our Sauvignon gown exudes timeless beauty, and is right at home in this idyllic setting. The cotton lace bodice is loomed by one of the only US lace mills still in existence. Spanning back 4 generations, I have been working with this lace vendor since my early days designing lingerie. They produce Leaver’s laces on the same looms that were brought to America from Germany back in the 1930’s.This particular design features an unusual pattern combining stripes and a floral motif made with a combination of Cotton threads. The layered tulle sleeves are adorned with Guipure lace appliques from yet another US mill! Again, this vendor has been a supplier for my collection from the beginning and creates gorgeous Venice lace based on patterns from the archives. With all of this sumptuous detail, the flowing crepe skirt and long train make an elegant finish to this stunning gown. Accented with rustic tables, seating, and subtle accents that complement the surroundings, this dreamy styled wedding makes me feel like I’ve been transported to a secret garden. Our modern-day heroine is styled simply, with soft, cascading hair and natural makeup provided by BC Makeups. Every bride wants to feel like her most beautiful, authentic self, so this beauty look is perfect bridal inspiration. Being deeply inspired by nature, I always love seeing lush gardens and charming outdoor settings as backdrops for our brides’ weddings, and I would say about 95% of my brides do choose a natural venue. It’s such a beautiful way to transport your guests and create a magical, unforgettable experience. This setting was the perfect showcase for our Sauvignon wedding dress and the array of talented artists that contributed to this shoot. Viewing these images has me longing for some time away from the studio to let the earth recharge me…but in case I don’t get to make that happen immediately, I’ll just wait for the next bride to send me her wedding photos, and live vicariously through her!
