Sage Silk Shenandoah for a Forest Wedding
After choosing the Shenandoah gown in 2019, and rescheduling her wedding from July 2020 to June 2021, Holland and her fiancé were finally able to wed in the gorgeous Washington forest surrounded by friends and family. It's always bittersweet to have that last fitting with brides... we share so many beautiful moments, laughs, and sometimes mini therapy sessions during our time together! Given the pandemic, we've known many of our brides for 2+ years (such as Holland) so it's an emotional day, seeing them walk out the door with their perfect gown. But on the flip side, it's always a joy to see the images after the wedding, and to see that the day they've been dreaming and planning, turned out to be as special as they imagined. Holland chose the gorgeous long sleeve, key-hole back, lace gown Shenandoah for her wedding. She also decided to take a leap of faith and line her gown in a decadent SAGE silk charmeuse! Isn't this just the most perfect color for her setting? I love when my brides have a bold idea and trust us to make it happen for them. This bohemian lace gown shines even brighter since it's highlighted with the sage underneath. See brides? There's some color in her gown, but there's no mistaking she's the beautiful bride! I also love how her flower crown and bouquet by Tobey Nelson Events and Design tie in so well with the scenery and overall vibe of the wedding. What a stunning forest bride!
This bridal party is absolute perfection! I love the contrast of the greenery and blush tones and the groomsmen's suspenders are charming as ever. I love the mix of bridesmaids gown styles and colors too, especially with the texture of the surroundings...it all works so well together! The way the groom's suit coordinates with Holland's dress is beautiful as well; he stands out on his own, and together, they're the perfect match. This ceremony (and that golden-hour light through the trees) is beyond heavenly...I can almost see the woodland fairies flying about! This storybook wedding was clearly filled with so much love and emotion... I can only imagine what it's like having to postpone your wedding a whole year, and then the day finally comes. These two are clearly soaking it all in under their beautiful love arch, and I am here for it! And shoutout to Olive and Opal Photography for capturing these special moments so perfectly! Keeping things non-traditional, Holland and Arlo opted for a pie cutting moment instead of cake! And of course some newly wed llamas had to join in too. Brides, you do you. There's nothing better than originality and being your authentic selves, especially on your wedding day! To my brides and future brides waiting for their wedding date, waiting for that proposal, or simply waiting for the floral vendor to call you back... patience! Everything will fall into place, all you have to do is be here now, and stay present on the journey... because it is SO worth the wait.
