We love our brides here at The Castle, but when Monica visited us, she brought a little something extra...one of the cutest little babies we've ever seen! Have you heard of "baby schema"? It's a psychological effect, that when people see babies, we're basically reduced to mush. Well, read on to melt along with me! Our sweet little family started out the day with some moments for just the three of them beautifully captured by Randall De Leon Photography. Portraits like this will be treasured, not only for the wedding memories for the couple, but for their little girl who may not remember this day once she grows up, but will have the chance to live it through these photos. What a gift to both parents and child! Our bride had a pretty clear vision of what she wanted for her wedding dress - lace, sleeves, a modest neckline and an easy, effortless vibe for her intimate Santa Barbara wedding. She tried on both Beverly and Cheyenne, and we kind of combined the two by adding a sheer lace long sleeve to Cheyenne, and that was it! In addition to all of the "bride" moments, she knew she was going to be carrying and hugging her little one throughout the day, so she wanted a comfortable, easy dress to wear - no beads, no frills, just beautiful vintage lace. Paired with our Eloquence lace edged tulle veil, and her look was complete. The ceremony started out with just the happy couple, but as can happen with unpredictable little ones, baby just wanted to be a part of the action, so dad paused to grab her, and the day continued with her in mamma's arms. You can plan all you want, but it's moments like these that will be treasured and remembered forever, so brides, whether it's a baby in your arms, a puppy or flower girl not sticking to the 'script', just let it be...it's all beautiful! An intimate celebration at a local winery followed with family and friends. Just the kind of relaxed, low-stress gathering our couple wanted. Warm woods, rich wines, earthy florals and a whole lot of love...all the ingredients needed for this beautiful day. Congrats to this happy couple, and Monica, you can bring that baby back to visit us ANY time!
