Chrysalis in the Garden

I always say I have the most unique brides. I get the boho bride, the vintage bride, the low-key bride, and very often... the garden fairy bride! This shoot planned by Michellia Fine Jewelry is a stunning depiction of the type of wedding location I envision for all of my nature loving, fairy brides. The Chrysalis gown was made for lush settings like this one!Chrysalis ended up being one of my favorite gowns I designed for the Evolution collection. The delicate layers of French embroidery, subtle gold sparkles, and creamy chiffon create the perfect palate that drapes and flows in an organic way, inviting magic into every thread. The touch of vibrant blue flowers and blush rose blossoms bring a soft romance to the look and of course, I had to add my signature butterfly applique to truly bring this garden gown to life (after all.. the gown is named Chrysalis!). If you know my collections well, you know I'm a lover of all types of sleeves. However, the ones made of fairy dust deserve their own special praise! These weightless, transparent bell sleeves add a touch of bohemian vibes while maintaining the timelessness and romance of the gown.I love the way the golden hour light peeks through and creates a truly enchanting aura.
I adore the wildness and personality of these florals! They're the perfect contrast to the soft, muted hues of the gown and compliment the already gorgeous surroundings. The pops of dusty blue, dandelion yellow, and energetic pink work together perfectly while being completely unique in their own way... just like how true lovers should be.
Brides are always asking me if they should wear a veil, and my answer is always YES! Why? For moments like this. You only have one chance to wear a veil... so do it! This specific look was finalized with our shimmering gold, speckled Juliet style veil paired with an iridescent rose that clips into the hair. The way the sparkles glide down the back of this bride's golden locks, crafted by Christy K Makeup & Hair, is truly mesmerizing... like gazing into a galaxy. The headpiece by Erin Rhyne was just another magical element to add to the story book moment.
No matter what kind of bride you are, there's one thing you should keep in mind: you can't go wrong with having an outdoor ceremony surrounded by towering trees, wide-open meadows, wild flowers, and a gown that makes you feel truly beautiful. The natural world is the perfect backdrop and it's always waiting for you to have your bridal fairy moment!
