California Love

Our hearts are heavy here at Claire Pettibone. The California wildfires that have caused so much destruction and devastation loom large in our minds. Although we are not directly in the path of the fires, we none-the-less feel the intensity and sorrow that has hit our neighbors and home state.Claire Pettibone Shenandoah | Malibu Rocky Oaks WineryAs we have been watching the news, trying to think of what we could do to help or aid in some way, one of our dear stockists, London and Lace in South Carolina, offered a suggestion. During their upcoming trunk show they will donate a portion of the proceeds from sales of our collection to charities specifically designated to help victims of the fires.Claire Pettibone Malibu Beverly We are so touched by their offer of support and committed to match that contribution. We will also be donating a percentage of all sales through the end of January.Claire Pettiobone Bordeaux | Malibu Rocky Oaks VineyardWe are California kids through-and-through. Born, raised and nourished on sunny days and cool ocean breezes, our home state is infused in our DNA. Just last year, we were marveling at the beauty of this amazing place as we shot our Vineyard Collection wedding dresses and California Dreamin’, in areas that are now completely decimated. It’s hard to imagine these areas so full of beautiful plants and wildlife are just gone now.Claire Pettibone Merlot Malibu Rocky Oaks WineryWe hope that this gesture can help bring some hope and relief for people and add to the recovery efforts.
We have identified two organizations that are on the front lines of aid and recovery. We invite you to participate in any way you can.
California Fire Foundation Logo
California Fire Foundation has an awesome program “Supplying Aid to Victims of Emergency (SAVE).” Through SAVE, front line firefighters in California provide gift cards, in the amount of $100, to eligible victims of fires or other natural disasters so they may purchase basic necessities such as food, clothing or medicine.
California Community Foundation
The California Community Foundation started a fund in 2003 to specially address the growing threats of wildfires. The Wild Fire Relief fund has raised $5million to support people displaced form the fires.
