A beach wedding can be a lot of different things. You might think bohemian, casual, with tacos and margaritas, but in the case of our gorgeous bride Madelyn, it was a classic, black tie affair. Photographed by one of our favorites, Kurt Boomer, you'll see the day was timeless and absolutely elegant, which goes to show that YOU and the styling choices you make, are what set the tone for your wedding. Getting dressed in her beautiful Anais gown surrounded by family and loved ones, our bride is ready for her first look with her groom while mom and dad watch from afar. What a sweet moment for all of them! She paired her floral wedding dress with a beautiful crystal hair vine from Twigs & Honey, and our cascading waterfall tulle veil. In addition to all of the hand beaded pearls and silk organza flowers blooming on her silk and lace dress, we added custom Guipure lace straps to trail up her shoulders - perfection!
And it's go time! On to the gorgeous ceremony at the legendary Shutters on the Beach. This iconic Santa Monica landmark, with it's breezy balconies, sun drenched terraces, and unobstructed views of the Pacific ocean, was the perfect setting for our happy couple and their guests. Add to the mix, classic black tie formalwear for the maids and gentlemen, and this wedding party is fabulous! A touch of romance was found in the lush, colorful blooms by another of our favorite wedding vendors, Peony & Plum. Susan and her team have embellished many of our events here at The Castle with their floral artistry, so when they heard our bride was wearing Claire Pettibone, they knew the perfect style and colors to incorporate for the floral design. This couple really enlisted a dream team to execute their vision!
After the ceremony, the couple took some time away for a stroll on the beach, and a few more portraits of just the two of them. This is such a special time - the fact that you are now actually married, after months (sometimes even years) of planning, the day has finally arrived, and here you are, a married couple. I met Madelyn and her family many times over the course of her first appointment finding the Anais gown, through to her final fittings with us here at The Castle, so I just love seeing these photos! It's like I get to live the day and experience all of the love and joy right along with them! They did it! Time to get that party started! Planned by A Stunning Affair, the details from ceremony to reception are the epitome of classic elegance. Romantic, timeless, and utterly beautiful. I always say that couples should plan their wedding in whatever way feels true to who they are, and these two are obviously a class act. We're wishing Madelyn and Andrew a lifetime of walks on the beach, and love in their hearts.
