I design each dress in the hopes that it will speak to a bride's heart. That her gown will not only make her look and feel beautiful, but somehow, will touch her soul in a way that just feels like it was meant to be. As our bride Courtney said, "I feel like Chrysalis was meant for me and it told the beautiful story of my family as well as my now husband. I lost my parents a couple of years ago, and when I tried on the dress, the butterflies were so symbolic to me. It inspired the entire wedding and it's the most beautiful work of art I have ever owned. Everything was beautiful, and my parents were with me the whole day! I loved everything about our wedding, and everyone loved the dress and custom veil you created for me. Thank you so much for designing the dress of my dreams!" I have to admit, this really touched my heart, and if her words weren't enough, take a look at this stunning wedding!

Our bride found her dream nature inspired gown with our amazing stockist
Gee June. We work hand-in-hand with our salons to get all of the details just right, and owner Layne is the best! Courtney was originally torn between a few of my gowns, but deep in her heart she knew
Chrysalis was "the one". Looking through these photos, I couldn't agree more...these getting ready photos at the historic
Sinclair of Skaneateles, are some of the most beautiful I've ever seen!

Courtney wore our breathtaking Chrysalis gown for her romantic ceremony, and her photographers
Nick and Natasha Photography so beautifully captured the romantic magic of the day. Chrysalis is adorned with layers of fairy dusted tulle and light blue embroidered flowers that cascade all the way down to her dramatic and airy train which is finished with cherry blossom embroidery. And of course I snuck in a few butterflies to make this nature inspired gown come to life! The bell sleeves add a touch of whimsy and bohemian vibe while exemplifying the ethereal nature goddess feeling.

Courtney was of course adorned with the most beautiful accessories as well! We made this custom veil from the finest sparkling French tulle in a Juliet cap style which frames her face with blossoms while the tulle falls sweetly against the gown. The veil compliments her gold butterfly earrings by
Nicola Bathie Jewelry while the bouquet by Cedar & Sweet Pea added the softest touch of muted tones. Courtney's blush floral heels by
Bella Belle were the prefect final touch to her entire ensemble!

Standing next to their chic bridal party, Courtney and hubby Michael tied the knot on a beautiful spring day surrounded by towering trees. From the looks on their faces, they couldn't be more filled with joy. And after the vows, it's on to the celebration!

Every detail of this wedding was planned to perfection, including the reception details. You know I can't resist a cake with butterflies, and this one from
The Cake Shop is no exception. And shout out to
Paper Crane Calligraphy who did a fantastic job planning this utterly romantic event!

"As you go on this journey together, what's important is that you'll have each other through it all. When things sometimes feel crazy or too much, you'll remind each other that a few twists and turns are really just a dance. Pivoting, leading, following...it's all part of it. Enjoy the dance of life, you two...I'm so grateful to be a part of this beautiful beginning!
xoxo, Claire
