The collection is back home for a moment before we head out to Colorado later this month. I am looking forward to meeting our west coast girls this Saturday at our Flagship Salon on Robertson Blvd. Cynthia, our salon manager, is so warm and wonderful, we always have a great time helping our brides find the perfect gown. I will be at the salon Saturday June 6th to offer my suggestions. I often give my brides a special gift when I meet them at a trunk show…like a custom hem length for free, or add a strap, or other custom touches that make the gown just that much more “you”.

May Trunk Shows are quickly approaching, so time to start booking those appointments! If you have been doing your homework, you know that the trunk show is a fabulous opportunity to see the entire Claire Pettibone collection both previous season’s best sellers and brand new designs. For this reason, be sure to bring your decision-maker with you (so if mom is paying for the dress, that means plan accordingly) because the gowns do leave for the next Trunk Show right away and this might be your only chance to see your gown until your order arrives…

Kelly’s Closet – May 15th & 16th

Kelly was one of the very first salons to buy the collection, and we LOVE her! I just wish she lived closer to LA so we could see each other more often. Kleinfeld – May 22nd – 24th

I will be making a personal visit to this legendary New York bridal salon on Friday and Saturday. Kleinfeld was also one of the first salons to carry the collection, and owners Mara and Ronnie have been so supportive and wonderful. I consider New York to be my second city, so this is a great excuse to visit! Exciting news! Claire Pettibone will participate in a book-signing for Otis’ new book – Otis Designs, a companion book to Otis: Nine Decades of Los Angeles Art. The new book is a compilation of alumni accomplishments through art and design. It will also include Otis’ recent graduates work as well as stills from early Disney films.

The book launches in conjunction with Otis’ 90^th Anniversary celebration, Homecoming Weekend (without the Football).  Come meet Claire Pettibone and the Otis community of alumni, parents, faculties, and staff on Saturday, October 11^th from 12 to 2 pm.

Held at a private Brentwood estate, the celebs were out in full force on Saturday night at the exclusive Butterfly Ball. Over 600 guests — including executives and artists from film, television and music came together for a spectacular night in support of Chrysalis, a Los Angeles based organization that helps homeless men and women change their lives through jobs. read more »
