Modern Vintage Victoriana

Modern Vintage Victoriana

I love when bridal shoots play with various textures and colors and this one planned by de Vasco's Daughters is no exception. The Victoriana gown shines bright next to these cool blues, baby pinks, vibrant peach tones, and soft ivories...creating a crisp, vintage feel. Whitney and Matsaya Photography captured this couple beautifully, crafting the perfect inspiration to ease us into these fall and winter months. Claire Pettibone Couture Wedding Dress Victoriana Vintage style wedding dress Lace Detail Victoriana Bride and Groom Portrait Photo The Victoriana gown is vintage-inspired, but you can't really identify a particular era. A touch of Victorian corsetry and lace detail (thus the name) but also a nod to the 1920's with this Art Deco pattern, and even a bit of Hollywood glamour in her sleek form-fitting silhouette. I like to mix up my references, and what comes out, is both modern and timeless. Adorned with unique geometric embroidery and Guipure droplets, this gown is made for a bride wanting that vintage feel with a one-of-kind silhouette. Lined in buttery silk charmeuse, this gown is not only detailed and intricate, but comfortable and light. And can we talk about that train?! This gown is a showstopper and the definition of timeless! I love how this team of creatives brought in blush and baby pink tones to contrast against a stone blue backdrop. This crisp setting is a gorgeous choice for a winter wedding, and a minimal and chic story can be a beautiful pairing with an intricate dress. The florals by Studio Fleurette, the table arrangements, stationery suite, silks and glassware...all of the details add so much life and depth to the look, creating a truly stunning environment. And that cake by Ink Sweets is obviously too pretty to eat! As you can see, even though the Victoriana gown is adorned with so much detail and texture, the veil doesn't take anything away; it just adds more beauty and dreaminess. There's only one time in your life you get to wear a veil, so why not? I always tell my brides, this is your "wow" moment, and you just can't deny the drama and "take-your-breath-away" factor of a veil! Bride and Groom picture with floral bouquet Bride holding wedding veil Bride and Groom in front of wedding flower display Don't forget...the magic is in the details! The colors you choose, the dress, the florals, it all comes together like a beautiful mosaic. And what's even more amazing, is that it will be uniquely and 100% you and your fiancé's vision. Your wedding is a one-of-kind creation, just like your one-of-a-kind love. You can see more of this gorgeous shoot on Wedding Sparrow.
