The thing about ideas that I love most, is when seemingly unrelated things come together to inspire something new. This pattern for Embossed Porcelain invitations actually began with engraved crystal goblets from my personal collection. As we were working on the motif and laying out the colors, I thought, wouldn’t it be cool if it had that raised look of Wedgwood china…especially with the ivory on blue color combo. But then it also kind of reminds me of fondant icing on a wedding cake, and wallpaper, and lace…well, you get the picture!
These gowns all share this same attention to detail and patterns that reflect this inspiration. It’s all about texture, delicate beading or intricate embroideries. The subtle contrast between lace and skin, beautiful backs, and elaborate sleeves. So many ways to say “I love you!”
I always say, the venue and the gown are the two things that really set the tone for the wedding. From there, the style, mood, and all of the details fall into place. If you choose a gown with delicate detailing, why not make that the story for your décor, your invitations, your cake? Layers of delicious embroidery and lace topped with a touch of spun sugar. Confections for the bride make a delicious indulgence…bon appetite!

I am thrilled to share a project very dear to my heart…wedding invitations designed exclusively for Wedding Paper Divas! When I create a collection, I envision the entire wedding…the venue, the flowers, the dress…it all comes together to tell a story, and the wedding invitation is the first hint of things to come.
One of nature’s most unique gifts, the butterfly captures the imagination with her kaleidoscope of colors and the symbolism of re-birth and finding true beauty within.
Butterflies naturally come to mind when thinking of a garden wedding. I would love to see this lush suite paired with some of my most romantic gowns.

Wedding Paper Divas approached me back in April of last year, and asked me to design a collection of wedding invitations. I’m thrilled to finally reveal this project that we have been sketching, painting and scripting over the last 6 months. When looking for inspiration, I often find it in paintings from some of the world’s master artists. What better place to start when composing my first wedding invitation suites for Wedding Paper Divas?!
Dramatic arrangements of flora and fauna set against a dramatic dark background exude a mysterious romanticism. “Still Life of flowers on a Marble Table” by Rachel Ruysch, displays the brilliance of nature’s beauty.
Everything I design is so romantic, but sometimes a bit of mystery, a touch of the dark, tempers the sweetness.
I really wanted to bring the still life painting to life. The bride dressed in delicate lace represents the lily which embodies purity and hope. The colors and elements surrounding her have meaning and symbolism of their own, and together, they tell a beautiful story.
In the second half of the 17th century, the art of the floral still-life reached the height of fashion. A stunning bouquet of white lilies and pink peonies alongside golden pomegranates – a symbol for prosperity, bring good fortune to our lucky couple.
